VV doesn’t respect president’s deadline: We will be writing to him within next days
In a press release following the meeting of Vetevendosje’s (VV) Presidency, during which the mandate proposal has been discussed, VV announced that within next few days it will send a letter of mandate to President Hashim Thaci.
This announcement in fact means that VV doesn’t respect the 48-hour deadline given by the country’s president for the mandate, which expires today, Periskopi reports.
“The meeting of the Presidency of Vetevendosje was held today. In full compliance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, Article 84, Paragraph 14, and with the Judgment of the Constitutional Court KO 103/14, our party will make the nomination for the Prime Minister’s mandate. We will send this proposal as an official letter to the President of the Republic within next days,” the statement underlines.
Moreover, VV also stresses that “following the receipt of our official letter, and in accordance with the Constitution, Article 95, Paragraph 1, and the Judgment of the Constitutional Court, we expect the President to address the Decree with our proposal to the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.”
