Vucic: Albanians will enter Serbia with just an ID, and vice versa, before the New Year
Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic confirmed that one of the agreements expected to be signed in Belgrade at the end of January is freedom of movement through the respective airports. This means that the security and police services of the three countries will exchange data, have databases shared and will thus have information at any time on anyone who has violated the Airports in Tirana, Skopje or Belgrade.According to Vucic, the Belgrade summit will be historic in terms of concrete agreements to be signed.
He confirmed that with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and that of Northern Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, have agreed on numerous issues, including greater integration of relevant bodies into emergency situations, the ABC news portal reports.
“First of all, we have agreed on a greater integration of our bodies in emergency situations, for the joint action of firefighting units and police units, in cases of fires, rains, earthquakes; respectively on anything Serbia, Albania, and before them the Northern Macedonia went through. So, we agreed to have a common database, in order to have our systems networked and help each other instantly, respond at any time, and have all the capabilities available to all,” Vucic underlined, by reminding that this is of utmost importance, as the latest Albania case proved.
“Before the New Year we will have a decision for our people to enter Albania only with an ID card, and the people from Albania can enter Serbia only with an ID card”, Vucic concluded, while adding that the same procedure will be applied for the Northern Macedonia citizen, and vice versa.
