Vllasi: Thaci and Kurti must work together in order for the dialogue to be successful
Although the final phase of the dialogue process from its beginning has been led by the Kosovo president, lawyer from Pristina, Azem Vllasi, in an interview for Zeri newspaper said that he considers that negotiations should henceforth be led by a team, where the prime minister need to interact with the president. Just in this manner, according to him, Kosovo will have a genuine strategy for the negotiations and will not allow any agreement to be signed without its prior approval in the Assembly.
The territorial integrity, set boundaries, regulated internal system and constitutional order are four points that make a state, and these issues should not even be discussed with Serbia during negotiation process, underlined further the well-known lawyer for Zeri.
According to Vllasi, so far the dialogue resulted in favor of Serbia, as Kosovo side was far more focused on diverse domestic issues, the worst being the Agreement on the Association of Serb Majority Municipalities, Zeri stressed.
While commenting on the painful Kosovo-Serbia compromise Vlasi said that the Serbian side should clarify what it means by “a compromise solution”, as it must be clear to all sides that there can be any compromise with Kosovo ‘s state status.
