Leader of the PDK, Kadri Veseli, congratulated Kosovo’s independence to all its citizens, while remembering the sacrifice of the Albanian people across generations and their struggle for freedom.

In a post on his Facebook account, Veseli said that Kosovo, as an independent and democratic state has, became important factor for regional stability.

“On the 12^th anniversary of Kosovo’s Independence, I send my cordial congratulations to all our compatriots and to entire Albanian nation. 17 February 2008 represents fulfillment of an early dream of many generations for freedom and independence, I therefore express my honor to all those heroes, warriors and activists who though centuries-old sacrifices have made possible the day we enjoy today. We’re proud of our independent and democratic states that become an important factor of regional stability and a model for respecting human and minority rights. Hence, I wish special congratulations to all those who made great efforts during these few years of independence made Kosovo achieve so much in building and consolidating its institutions. Kosovo, happy Independence forever!” Veseli wrote.
