During his year-end press conference held today, President Hashim Thaci tackled the possibility of Isa Mustafa running for president in 2021, or any other name running for this post. He stressed that the winning parties can agree on all issues, as well as on the new president, and in this case he would only wish them success.

“As far as the parliamentary elections for president are concerned, I think we have enough time to think about it. Yet, it would be in the interest of the winning party, or of the coalition, to agree on that matter now. Whoever is elected I wish him success, I will be freed from all commitments I have, as those may not always be political. I have no nostalgia for any institutional office, though I do respect for all institutional offices,” he explained.
