Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Glauk Konjufca, few days ago proposed withdrawal of seven ambassadors and consuls from their diplomatic missions, including Kosovo’s ambassador to the U.S., Vlora Citaku.

Meanwhile local media has circulated two names as possible descendants of Mrs. Çitaku. According to media, Skender Hyseni from the LDK was one the names proposed to be appointed Kosovo’s ambassador to the United States.

However, when contacted by Periskopi, the former Kosovo’s foreign minister underlined that allegations according to which he was proposed to be Kosovo’s highest representative to the U.S. are untrue.

“I don’t want to comment anything, as long as there is nothing real,” Hyseni said.

In addition to Skender Hyseni, the name of the publicist Veton Surroi has also been touted as potential Kosovo ambassador to the U.S.
