Six months after placement of tariff Bosnia and Herzegovina exports in Kosovo are 27 million euros shorter
Export of products made in Bosnia and Herzegovina to Kosovo during last six months has fallen by 27 million euros compared to the same period of the last year, says Mirko Sarovic, Bosnian Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations.
Minister Sarovic says for Vijesti.ba that Kosovo’s 100 percent tariff significantly damaged Bosnian economy.
“This can be seen if we, for example, compare the first four months of 2019, when we exported products worth 500,000 euros, with the first four months of 2018 when we exported 20 million euros,” he says.
According to Sarovic, if the 100 percent tariff is not going to be lifted by July 1, when the summit of Western Balkan leaders will take place in Paris, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia will consider introducing their countermeasure models.
Otherwise, on 21 November 2018 Kosovo Government decided to impose a 100 percent customs tariffs on all products imported from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
