Senator Perdue: The U.S. to withdraw its troops from Kosovo if the tariffs are not dropped
The U.S. Senator, David Perdue, said that his country should reconsider its presence in Kosovo if the Kosovo Government doesn’t remove the tariffs on all Serbia and Bosnia & Herzegovina goods.
In a post on Twitter, Perdue wrote that the U.S. forces have been helping to maintain peace between Kosovo and Serbia for more than two decades. Consequently, as he says, now with the historic progress made between the two states it is up to Kosovo to do its part.
“For over two decades, US forces have helped keep the peace between Kosovo & Serbia. Now, with historic progress in sight, Kosovo must do its part & abolish all duties imposed on Serbia.
If Kosovo is not fully committed to peace, then the US should reconsider its presence there,” Perdue wrote.
