Rumors, according to which visa liberalization for Kosovars may happen by the end of the year, were silenced today by two German lawmakers, Peter Beyer and Christian Schmidt.

According to what they said today in Kosovo’s capital city, visa liberalization may happen next year, and that, they’re doing their best to support Kosovo in this process.

“We’re doing our best to support and facilitate the process. As you know the year is not over yet, but we must be real… I would sincerely and seriously expect all remaining issues to be solved by the end of this year. But, the year almost ended and we will probably see it happen next year,” he clarified.

Visa liberalization to Kosovo was promised even before; however it was consistently postponed by European Union, despite the fact that Kosovo has met all the criteria.
