Scary: Grenell shares Senator’s words on reconsideration of the U.S. military departure from Kosovo
President Trump’s special envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Richrad Grenell, has shared the words of the U.S. Senator, David Perdue, who last night said that unless the tariff is lifted and if there is no readiness for full peace with Serbia, the United States should consider its military presence in Kosovo.
These kinds of reaction from the U.S. politicians follow the refusal of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and its Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, to immediately abolish 100 percent tariff on Serbia products, without any other additional condition.
In addition to its military presence, the United States is also considering suspension of millions in the form of funds and investments dedicated to the Republic of Kosovo.
In his reaction, Perdue recalled the fact that the U.S. has been maintaining peace between Kosovo and Serbia for more than 20 years.
“For over two decades, US forces have helped keep the peace between Kosovo & Serbia. Now, with historic progress in sight, Kosovo must do its part & abolish all duties imposed on Serbia. If Kosovo is not fully committed to peace, then the US should reconsider its presence there,” Perdue wrote.
Otherwise, Richard Grenell had fiercely refused Albin Kurti’s decision to partially withhold the tariff, by saying that Mr. Kurti is making a very serious mistake.
