Group for protection of the Badovc Lake started with signing of an online petition for opposing a plan of a private construction company, which intends to build a residential neighborhood   near the artificial lake.

During last three days the Group has gathered thousands of supporters who’re opposing the announcement of the Lakeside Gardens neighborhood construction project, issued by the KAWA Group and 4M Group.

According to the representatives of these two companies, the Municipality of Pristina, following a decision by the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, has already released the construction conditions. Contrary to the legislation in force, the aim two private companies is to build a luxury neighborhood that will have 17 villas, very near the lake side.

Two companies have as well announced that construction of the residential complex will take place in the second protected area.
