Kosovo Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, said that the death of Nexhmije Pagarusha represents great loss for all people and for music.

Kurti added that, because of Nexhmije Pagarusha’s death eyes of everyone today are teary.

“The nightingale left us. Her songs are echoing through my head. Her voice never ceases. Amidst few minutes that I have between many meetings I find myself thinking about these songs. Nexhmije Pagarusha, an unmatched musical talent, died today at the age of 86. She left behind 5 albums and 88 songs. More works than the years of life. Each song is better than the other. My condolences to all art lovers. This is a huge loss for all the people and for the music,“ Kurti wrote on his Facebook profile.

Nexhmije Pagarusha died in Pristina due to a short illness she was suffering from. She was 86.
