Kurti no longer avoids meeting with Thaci, though he said they can meet on Monday, any time
Leader of Vetevendosje, Albin Kurti, has rejected the third invitation from President Thaci for a consultative meeting, in order to give him a mandate for forming the government.
In his respond, Kurti has stated that he will again not be able to meet tomorrow, on 31 December, and proposed that a meeting can take place on Monday next week, on January 6.
“Thank you for your new invitation. Unfortunately, I will not be able to come for a meeting tomorrow at 10 am. I propose to meet on Monday, January 6, at any time you consider convenient. Happy 2020,” Kurti wrote.
Otherwise, Mr. Kurti had as well refused the first two invitations for a meeting with the president, without giving any clear explanation. It is estimated by the analysts that this done in order to extend required time-frame for formation of the government, as required by the Constitution.
