Leader of the War Veterans Organization of the KLA (OVL-UCK) Hysni Gucati, considers that Albin Kurti and Vjosa Osmani are risking to disrupt relations with NATO and the United States of America due to their political anger. Gucati thus warns that if such things happen the citizens and veterans will block the capital city streets.

While tackling Prime Minister Kurti’s statement on “revealing the secret agreement” between Thaci and NATO, the OVL-UCK Chair says that Kurti is deeply wrong.

“I urge the Prime Ministe and the Speaker of the Assembly, Albin Kurti and Vjosa Osmani, not to deal with the things that will do us no good. The Kosovo Liberation Army has fought for this country and has fought to make friends. Our best allies and friends are NATO and the United States of America. We do not need to go against NATO and the Americans. These are our friends who helped us liberate the country from Serbia. The letter that was made public is not an agreement that should have been voted in the Kosovo Parliament; it was between the two arteries: NATO and the President, or the Government that was at the time. So Mr. Kurti in my opinion is wrong,” he said.

According to Gucati, this is happening due to political anger, while ensuring that the head of the executive will not be able to disrupt relations with NATO, otherwise he has warned about the protests.

“I would like to remind Mr. Kurti that relation with NATO and the United States of America cannot be broken. Such a stance will force us to go out on the streets, and to block Pristina with all the veterans and the citizens of Kosovo. There are no Kosovo citizens who want to disrupt relations with NATO and KFOR, or with the United States of America. Kosovo’s security is NATO and the United States of America. They guard Kosovo’s borders, because they have the power and the mandate to safeguard Kosovo’s borders,” Gucati stressed.
