Grenell against Kurti’s ‘reciprocity measure’
President Trump’s envoy in the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Ambassador Richard Grenell, underlined that he is against the reciprocity measure, announced by Kosovo Prime Minister, Albin Kurti.
Grenell’s Spokesman, Dick Custin, told radio Free Europe (RFE/RL) that Ambassador Grenell encourages Kosovo to lift its 100 percent tariff on all products imported from Serbia, but without reciprocity.
“Kosovo should lift the tariff on Serbian goods without reciprocity. Not just to suspend the tariff, but to lift it completely, ” Custin said.
“The ambassador is not supporting the idea of reciprocity,” he added.
Otherwise, it was in November 2018 when Kosovo has imposed a 100 percent tariff on products exported from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Kurti, who started last week his work as the new Prime Minister of Kosovo, said that this tariff will be replaced by the reciprocity measure to Serbia.
