Former KLA commander supports Veseli’s initiative for cleaning the lists of veterans
In a press conference held on Saturday, Kadri Veseli, chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo and S speaker of the Assembly, announced creation of an inquiry commission that will investigate war veterans’ lists.
This initiative is supported by one of KLA’s most prominent commanders, Sami Lushtaku.
“Clearing the lists is for me the biggest joy since the liberation of Kosovo. I can’t wait to see clean lists, with just those veterans who have really fought. Clearing the lists makes soldiers who’ve fought for this country feel proud, and not be aligned with those who have not done anything, to be aligned with those that lived in Germany,” Lushtaku says for KosovaPress.
“Reputation of the KLA will never fade despite attacks of the people who’ve worked all their life against the values of the warand of the KLA,” Lushtaku emphasized, as “the KLA war is sacred and there is nothing that can stain it.”
He therefore invites his comrades-in-arms and political parties to support Veseli’s initiative for investigating veterans’ lists.
“I believe every member of the KLA will feel relieved when that happens,” Lushtaku added.
Sami Lushtaku was the commander of the KLA in the Drenica Zone, and after the war he was a mayor of Skendaraj for several mandates. He is currently chairman of PDK branch in Skenderaj./Periskopi/
