Dacic to Grenell: Even if you abolish the tax, we will not stop our de-recognition campaign
Serbian Foreign Minister, Ivica Dacic, commented today the messages of President Trump’s special envoy for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Richard Grenell, about the tax, conveyed during his visit to Kosovo.
In fact, Grenell said that Kosovo should abolish its 100 per cent tax on Serbian products, while Serbia should stop de-recognition campaign against Kosovo.
However, Dacic said that even if Kosovo will abolish the tax, that move will not affect Serbia’s campaign against Kosovo’s independence.
“Campaign for stopping recognition cannot be compensated with the tax abolition,” Dacic said.
Dacic also said that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has reminded that Belgrade’s position remains that the dialogue cannot continue if the tax is not being lifted before it begins.
