Even though still not confirmed, at least not during Sunday, it seems that Agim Veliu will be the chief minister in the government led by Albin Kurti.

Mr. Veliu is entrusted with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a ministry that had delayed for months the negotiating process between the LDK and Vetevendosje.

It’s not known whether Mr. Kurti, as Prime Minister, will accept nomination of Mr. Veliu.

If Mr. Veliu accepts the nomination, it will also mean that we will have new elections in Podujevë/Podujevo municipality, currently run by him.

Otherwise, Mr. Veliu and Vetevendosje have had a very fierce relationship in recent months, as Mr. Veliu was seen as one of main figures opposing coalition of the LDK with Mr. Kurti’s party.
