Following two confirmed cases of coronavirus in Albania, Rama orders schools to be closed for two weeks
Through an official announcement published shortly after midnight, the Ministry of Health of Albania confirmed the first two cases of the new COVID-19 coronavirus in Albania.
In the extraordinary government’s meeting, which is being held this morning, Prime Minister, Edi Rama, said that among the necessary measures it was decided that all schools to be closed for two weeks.
“Today’s measures are to suspend flights to the Northern Italy and to the so-called red areas, until April 3,” Rama said.
“The educational institutions will be closed across the country. It is the moment to close all educational institutions and request the suspend all activities and public hearings until April 3,” Rama underlined.
