Last night the local media reported that the RTK journalist, Altin Ahmeti, was beaten up by five persons in a cafeteria in Prishtina.

This morning the Kosovo Police has gave details about this case. The police announced that they were notified about the case by the victim himself, that the victim has already received necessary medical treatment, while the suspect is on the run.

“The victim,  a Kosovo/Albanian male, a journalist working in the RTK, has reported that while in a cafeteria he was physically assaulted by a male Kosovo/Albanian suspect, for unknown motives.  The relevant police units had arrived at the scene, and following the attack the victim received medical treatment, while the suspect is on the run. The prosecutor is already notified about the case, who has described the case as an attack and continued investigatation,”the police report stressed.
