Mustafa against the idea of Vetevendosje for businesses to rest on Sundays
Leader of the LDK, Isa Mustafa has rejected the idea of Vetevendosje, for Sunday being a day of rest to all private businesses, by calling it an unacceptable move. He stressed that there is no need for Kosovo citizens to serve Skopje and Tirana with weekend shopping tours, as they can do so in Kosovo as well.
Furthermore, Mustafa asks why “the tourists and visitors cannot find services in Kosovo on this day? What is the reason that for one day a week to reduce the aggregate demand in our market, that has a negative effect on local gross product and on employment, and to move this demand out of Kosovo?”
He also asked the Competition Authority to review some municipalities’ decisions for banning the work on Sundays, in a view of violating the free competition and affecting the private sector.
