Department for Serious Crimes of the Basic Prosecution in Gjilan has announced that today, at around 1:00 pm, a Kosovo Police officer has killed four persons – members of her own family, prior to committing suicide.

According to the preliminary information, it is suspected that in Gjilan’s  Bujanina neighborhood, now  the deceased police officer of the Police Station i Gjilan, Valdete Bllaca, has deprived from life her parents and two brothers, by using her firearm, before she committed suicide.

The police, prosecutor of the case and a medical team, which immediately ascertained their deaths, arrived immediately at the scene. Based on prosecutor’s order, the bodies of the victims were sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Pristina for the autopsy procedures.

The case is being investigated, and the public will be informed in due time of other details, the prosecution declared.
