Prime Minister Kurti’s cold reception in Tirana. Here’s what journalist Robelli says

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, realized today his first state visit abroad. However, the reception he received in Tirana is by many commentators and analysts described as cold and senseless.

At the joint press conference with the Prime Minister of Albania, Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, tried to be as relaxed as possible, although his host, Edi Rama, looked cold. And, when Kurti strangely mentioned the term “the macro-Albanian”, Rama commented with “I don’t  understand where these macro-mini terms are coming from,” while referring to the idea of the Balkan mini-Schengen, which was rejected by all Kosovo’s leaders last month, Periskopi reports.

On the other side, journalist Enver Robelli called the reception in Tirana for Prime Minister Kurti as way too poor.

“The reception that Prime Minister of Albania made to Prime Minister of Kosovo was crispy. A Siberian atmosphere, in the center of Tirana. This was easy observable in every gesture, in almost every word, and in every action of Edi Rama. “You’re young in these jobs”, “you don’t know that without Mini-Schengen there will be no Albanian Macro-Schengen,”” Robelli wrote, among others things.

According to Robelli, Kurti’s cold reception in Tirana clearly shows the huge gap between him and the Albanian Prime Minister Rama.

However, Robell didn’t spare Mr. Kurti from his criticism either.

“On the other hand, by overvaluing his role, Albin Kurti behaved as by coming to power he saved Kosovo, and will save Albania as well,” he stressed.

Otherwise, it’s already announced that Kurti will not meet at all with the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.
