Lutfi Haziri: The LDK-VV coalition is reached; Speaker of the Assembly belongs to the LDK
The Vice-Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lutfi Haziri, says today that, in principle, the coalition with Vetevendosje (VV) has been reached. According to him, just few details need to be accorded and the deal will be finalized.
Haziri confirmed that the meeting between teams of the LDK and VV took place on Friday night; although he didn’t specify where Isa Mustafa and Albin Kurti shook their hands.
“I can’t specify the place or the way the leaders communicate. However, the last meeting had teams format,” Haziri said for the GazetaExpress news portal.
Gjilani’s Mayor also says that two parties are now to held internal consultations, prior new meeting, during which they will sign an agreement for the new government.
“For the LDK has very clear and it has never discussed the issue of the prime minister, as it respected the standard that the winner takes this post. Same wise, as the second party, in this regard, we should have the position of the Speaker of the Assembly,” Haziri stressed.
Vice-Chairman of the LDK also tackled the campaign that Vetevendosje used to raise against him and now against Agim Veliu. In this regard, Haziri said that the party founded by Ibrahim Rugova will never act as a Lego or as springboard in order to fulfill the wishes that any party or individual have.
“We will not allow the LDK, as a political organization, to be considered as a Lego and to be shaped according to anybody’s wish, s was expected and said by some officials of Vetevendosje. Same vise, the LDK will not be a political springboard, for realizing political aspirations, that someone might have previously think of,” Haziri added.
