Kurti slams the LDK in his new disappointing video-address
Leader of Vetevendosje and its the nominee for country’s prime minister, Albin Kurti, has addressed the people though a new video, though which he openly blamed the LDK for failing to reach the governing agreement. However, Kurti said that the possibility for both parties to return to negotiating table remains open.
“Good day dear citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. As the winners of the October 6 elections, we wanted to send the proposal of Vetevendosje for Prime Minister to the Presidency after reaching the agreement with the LDK.
At the constitutive meeting of the Assembly, on December 26, I went without agreement, same as I went without agreement to the President, on January 6.
And now, two weeks after that 4-minute meeting, we still don’t have an agreement on the new government.
Dear citizens, today we’re sending our proposal in writing to the President. Our organizational Secretary, Vlora Haxhimehmeti, will do this.
We’ve not accepted the latest proposal from the leaders of the LDK, though we’ve expressed our readiness for further meetings, aiming to finding other alternatives that will be acceptable to both parties.
I underline once more: We cannot go back to the past; we cannot go back to 2019.
They’ve not accepted our last proposal and, regardless of the agreement, they’ve didn’t addressed it at their General Council.
The attitude, according to which, we will meet just for the ceremony of signing the agreement, that is to say take it or leave it, means leave it.
I believe that we can’t go back anymore, and that we owe to all of you siting back to negotiating table until we find a common language and until our agreement is reached.
We, as Vetevendosje, have gain the mandate for making a government you want and the country need most, neither more nor less than this.
We’ve started by liberating the captured leadership of the Assembly; there not there anymore the pronto-speaker of the Assembly who insulted and threatened from its pulpit, but we have a new Speaker, Glauk Konjufca.
During the next days I will also meet with the representatives of the minorities.
Thank you and goodbye,” Kurti says in his last video-address.
