Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, has condemned the last night’s act of burning the car of the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Slavko Simic, in Leposavic.

According to Konjufca, such criminal act, that endangers life of senior state official and destroys property of the Kosovo citizens, constitutes serious violation of law and order and as such it is punishable.

“I encourage the law and order authorities to undertake all necessary measures and to quickly solve the case and its perpetrators bring to justice,” says the press release issued by Konjufca’s office.

Konjufca is part of the Vetevendosje, a party known for its harsh stances against Liata Srpska and for damaging UNMIK vehicles, more than a decade ago.
