Professor of philosophy at the University of Prishtina, Blerim Latifi, said that Jusuf Buxhovi’s words, according to which the name LDK was inspired by the name League of Prizren, represents pure falsification of history.

On his post in Facebook, Latifi stressed that the name Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) was in fact created from transformation of the name Communist League of Kosovo (LKK).

“When one reads the LDK foundation program, from 1989, it’s clear that it has nothing to do with the Prizren League program. Therefore, when Buxhovi i saying that the name LDK was inspired by the name League of Prizren represents falsification of history. The name Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) was created from transforming the name Communist League of Kosovo (LKK). The very fact that the program speaks of a communist-transformed, democratic Yugoslavia proves this,“ Latifi wrote.
