Let’s laugh together: Haradinaj gives new visa liberalization date
Acting Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, says today that the decision on visa liberalization for Kosovo is expected to happen during spring of the next year, and not this year as he previously announced.
Haradinaj also clarified that, in a letter to all EU decision-makers he demanded visas to be lifted for Kosovars, and that he’s no longer hoping that the decision will be made this year.
For the postponement of the date for liberalization Haradinaj partly blamed Vetevendosje and LDK because they’re delaying the process of building new institutions following the October 6 elections.
“We’re more skeptical now. [The liberalization] Now is hard to occur, considering that Christmas is too close. I’ve been interested to check the Council of Europe calendar, and I believe that we will have a chance to enter the agenda at the end of February or beginning of March. I’m continuously communicating with the parties and have written to all EU decision-makers on this subject, as its injustice. The delay that follows the creation of institutions may have also slightly influenced the delay, as we’re somewhat diminishing our power… We’ve held elections but we’re not delivering proper news on new institutions. I believe this is creating a problem for us, as well” he told for Ekonomia Online news portal.
