In the Election Assembly being held  today, members of the PSD have elected Dardan Molliqajmas a new party leader, Klan Kosova reports.

Following the resignation of Shpend Ahmeti from this post, according to Klan Kosova’s sources within the PSD Electoral Assembly, the only candidate for the chairman of the PSD was Dardan Molliqaj.

Even though  there were seven nominations for the post of the PSD chairman,  it was decided to have just one candidate.

Otherwise, following the result of October 6 elections, former PSD chairman Shpend Ahmeti announced that due to results he decided to step down from all positions in the party, and that he will from now one hold just the post of Mayor of Pristina.
